UTS SkinForm Project // Shapeshifting Architecture

The SkinForm Project is the final product of the Computational Environments design studio in the Master of Architecture course at the University of Technology Sydney.

Friday 30 May: Joanne Jakovich will present the SkinForm project at the Tohoku University of Art & Design, Japan.

Tuesday 10th June, 3pm: The creators of SkinForm will present an open lecture about the concepts and development of SkinForm, followed by an open discussion with guest critics. All welcome. Interactivation Studio, Level 4, DAB UTS, Building 6, 702-730 Harris Street, Ultimo. 3-5pm.

Thursday 12th June: SkinForm will be officially launched at the 2008 UTS Architecture Exhibition. Start time to be announced. Level 4, DAB UTS, Building 6, 702-730 Harris Street, Ultimo.

SkinForm is a landmark project for an architecture degree in Australia as it implements new sensor technology and software programming into a full-scale, transforming architecture.

In addition, the students are collaborating as a start-up company, taking on diverse roles not normally accessible through their education.

The completion and launch event will be 12th June 2008, 6pm, UTS School of Architecture.
