CV08 conference

States of Convergence was produced for the 'Sydney Future Visions 2050: Suburbia' panel at the RAIA CV08 Critical Visions national conference.

A part of the conference was a series of parallel sessions that explored polemical visions for possible urban futures using Sydney, both the centre and the expanding suburban region, as an 'urban laboratory'.

A select group of young emerging architectural teams were invited to prepare future visions. Along with Choi Ropiha and Andrew Maynard, Vector Guerrillas were selected to address the suburban region of sydney.

The Visions were publicly exhibited in Customs House, Sydney during March and also exhibited within the foyer and exhibition areas during the conference. Participants presented their visions for critique and discussion by a distinguished panel of international and Australian architects / academics as part of what was one of the most interesting conference jury sessions.
